Bottled Water Sourced from PA Recalled for E. Coli

By on June 24, 2015

Niagara Bottling issued a voluntarily recall of its bottled spring water that was sourced from two of its Pennsylvania plants from June 10 through June 18 in response to evidence of E.Coli at the sites.

The recall affects fourteen store brands: Acadia, Acme, Big Y, Best Yet, 7-11, Niagara, Nature’s Place, PriceRite, Superchill, Morning Fresh, Shaws, ShopRite, Western Beef Blue and Wegmans.

Niagra is recalling water produced at its Hamburg and Allentown sites even though there have been no reports of illness so far.

The company advises customers to refer to the Best By codes on the outer-wrap shrink-film or on the bottle in order to determine if a product is affected by the recall.

Specifically, the Niagra recall notice states that affected products sourced at the Hamburg plant were labelled F# BEST BY 08DEC2016 to F# BEST BY 16DEC2016 and products sourced at the Allentown plant were labelled A# BEST BY 08DEC2016 to A# BEST BY 16DEC2016.
