Recall Alert: Trader Joe’s Recalls Cashews

Trader Joe has issued a recall of Trader Joe’s Raw Cashew Pieces, for risks of potential food poisoning (Salmonella).

According to the company, the recall is for bags bearing the number  “BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4,” sold in the following states:

Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C. and Wisconsin.

 

Trader Joe advises that purchasers of the affected product should not consume the cashews and should ask for a full refund.
